Reflecting realities through emotions; Abbas Makki is a true visionary, born in Beirut in 1969.
He's a painter, graphic designer, and calligrapher with a wealth of experience as an instructor and Art Director at GEO Projects. With an education from the Lebanese University, where he earned a diploma in Fine Arts, a master's in plastic arts, and a PhD in Sciences of Art, Makki's talent is undeniable.
His work is heavily influenced by Expressionism, which allows him to distort reality and convey his deepest thoughts and emotions through his art. Makki's soulful vision holds true, that artists are bound by memories. T portraits, like a mirror, reflect the pain and sufferings of humans he has encountered throughout his frequent engagements with different cultures and societies from around the world.
The art of Makki has been exhibited in various countries, including Lebanon, France, Greece, Syria, and Iran, and has designed over 200 book covers, including Paulo Coelho's Arabic edition book cover.
